Delete your account

How to delete your account in Qadaar (listed as “Qadaa” and “Qadaa Calculator - Qaza” by BA Solutions, LLC), and what happens to your data.

In the app

  1. Open Qadaar and sign in, if you are not signed in already.
  2. Open Menu.
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

This deletes your account at once. You are signed out on every device.

Without the app

If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, email info@qadaar.io with the subject “Delete my account”. Write from any address and tell us the email address of your Qadaar account. If you used Sign in with Apple with “Hide My Email”, that is the @privaterelay.appleid.com address listed in your Apple ID settings under Sign in with Apple. To confirm the account is yours, we write to that address and ask you to reply. Everything listed below is deleted within 30 days of your request, and we write back when it is done.

What is deleted

  • Your sign-in account: name, email address and user ID.
  • Your qadaa calculator profile, including date of birth and any information about your cycle, childbirth and nifas.
  • Your qadaa counters.
  • Your fasting log, including reasons and notes.
  • Your prayer log, dhikr counters and prayer-time settings.

When you delete the account in the app, the sign-in account and the calculator data are deleted immediately, and the records on our servers within 30 days.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Database backups that may still hold your records roll over within 1 day after they are deleted.
  • Server logs and error reports may contain the IP address of your requests: server logs are kept for 1 day, error reports and traces (Sentry) for up to 90 days. They are not linked to your name or email.
  • Analytics and crash reports are not linked to your name or email. They expire on their own: crash reports after up to 90 days, analytics events after up to 14 months.
  • Donation records held by Stripe and by us are kept as long as tax law requires.
  • Emails you sent us, including the deletion request itself, are kept for up to 2 years as a record that we handled it.

Data on your phone

Deleting the account does not remove what the app keeps on your phone. To remove that too, delete the app.

Deleting some data but keeping the account

You can delete individual entries in the app: fasting entries, prayer log records and dhikr counters. You can also email us to ask for specific data to be deleted.
